Reusing and Repurposing

With today’s ever-growing green consciousness (which is to be taken seriously for a vast number of reasons that affect our lives and the lives of future generations), the reuse and repurposing of just about everything has a directly beneficial affect on our environment. Anyone can walk into a thrift store and walk out with something they can use as it is or alter in some way to reinvent it into something new and exciting. Many people are doing this already and have been doing so for a very long time, and now that there is an increased awareness about the necessity of creating less impact on the environment, it’s actually becoming quite popular. And aside from that, it can be really fun, far more affordable than buying things new, and it provides a welcome opportunity to get the creative juices flowing.

To list all of the ways in which one can reuse and repurpose things could take forever, but suffice it to say for the moment that whether its a new wardrobe you’re after, or furniture, picture frames, books, art, things for your kitchen or dining room, or things for your garden, you can take just about anything you find that’s not quite what you’re looking for and then turn it into an inspired treasure. In the coming weeks, I’ll continue on this theme and show you all kinds of fun possibilities. Stay tuned!
