So Many Reasons to Support Teen Challenge

Teen Challenge of Southern California offers a variety of programs that have helped thousands of people with issues involving substance abuse, gang affiliation, prostitution, domestic violence, and other “life-controlling” or “emotionally disabling” problems for over 50 years. Within a Christian faith-based framework, teens and adults who enter their programs are provided with a comprehensive treatment strategy that is focused on teaching and helping people to function as productive members of society without the destructive habits and belief systems that would otherwise have ruined their lives.

Teen Challenge offers a one year residential substance abuse recovery program that equips graduates with skills necessary to be active contributors to their family, community and faith. Through a specific curriculum focused on Christian discipleship, students learn basic life, work and social skills, and are taught to transform their lives through new and healthier ways of thinking and behaving.

Vocational training is another major feature that Teen Challenge offers its students. For those who have not completed their high school diploma, there is a program that helps students earn their GED. There are also comprehensive vocational programs that empower people to provide for themselves and their families and to become leaders in their communities, occupations and faith groups.

To address domestic violence issues, Teen Challenge offers the “healthy Families” program, which was designed to promote intimate and family relationships that are grounded in the biblical ideas of equality, respect, justice and peace.

Knowing that Teen Challenge has successfully turned around the lives of so many people, its easy to want to support them. Your donations will do just that.
